"Being a very high mover and shaper with almost non existent responder, married to a very high responder with very little mover can make for a disruptive relationship. By taking the Life Languages evaluation it opened our eyes to how we were being perceived by each other. A major key to any healthy relationship is obviously communication, and a major key to communication is to be able to convey the intent behind your content from your spirit to theirs in a way the person receives it properly. Well, when General George S. Patton is trying to not only communicate with but to also lead Mother Theresa there is ample opportunity for ISSUES! I was not able to understand why my wife would get her feelings hurt and feel threatened at times, thereby turning to the toxic side of her life language. Which as you can imagine, did not set well with the General (me).
Thankfully, by God, we became educated, brought into the light from darkness and at least now when I offend her I understand why. And she understands that is not my heart. It actually blew my mind that sometimes she wanted to share a problem she was experiencing, but she didn’t want me to FIX it she just wanted a hug! WOW, I would have never figured that out without life languages, I thought the best way to solve a problem was more gun powder! And all she wanted was to be understood, HUH. Life Language’s has been one of the most beneficial actions we have taken in our marriage. I would recommend it very highly."
